Road Classification and Assessment

DBCA have contracted CSE to conduct field surveys to inventory and assess sealed and unsealed roads and associated infrastructure within the departments strategic road network throughout Western Australia. This is a 5-year contract consisting of 5 annual programs to cover all regions of WA. We are currently in the second year of the contract. Our responsibilities include conducting a ‘road audit and assessment’ of all roads and tracks nominated in the annual program, use of the ‘pick up program’ database and GIS software to inventory all road information, video capture all surveyed roads, and provide a road condition assessment report for each region. Spatial data is post processed and delivered to the client as a shape file containing all requested attributes.
