Her career spans over seven years, with experience in Medical and Biological Research, Forestry, and Natural Resource Management across North America and Southeast Asia. Roles as a Forestry Supervisor, Biological Researcher, and Conservation Biologist have equipped her with a rare combination of technical expertise and a commitment to environmental sustainability, making her a key contributor to CSE.
As the Strategy and Operations Officer, Kate’s hands-on approach and field expertise are central to CSE’s success. She creates efficient workflows, oversees fieldwork and sampling safety, and implements environmentally conscious practices. Her responsibilities include developing Standard Operating Procedures, conducting Risk Assessments, and formulating Company Policies, all aimed at ensuring operational safety, precision, and sustainability.
Kate also manages the preparation of field equipment, maps, and data collection systems, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. Her leadership in guiding the team towards sustainable practices ensures that CSE’s projects not only meet technical and regulatory standards but also contribute to broader environmental goals.
Kate is a member of several prestigious professional organisations, including the Geospatial Council of Australia, the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ), and the Sustainable Engineering Society (SES). She is also an Affiliate Member of Engineers Australia (AffilEAust) and an Associate Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (AMIEnvSc).
